MEDA RICK JONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

The MEDA Professional Development and Scholarship Committee has announced the  2022 Scholarship schedule. 
In addition, thanks to the MT CARES Act, a special opportunity for NDC training.

 We continue to encourage traditional coursework but are adding emphasis for online economic development certifications and beneficial webinars that could be taken individually or shared with staff or in a small group setting.  

2021 Scholarship Winners:  1st Quarter:  Lisa Bridger, Beth Epley, Holly Carpenter.  2nd Quarter:  Ray Brown and Taylor Lovell.  3rd Quarter - no applicants.  4th Quarter:  Christian Leinhauser, Jake Clark, Jill Kohles, $600 NDC scholarships, all from GFDA; BSEDA Kayla Vokral, one NDC $600 scholarship; Mineral County Emily Park, NDC scholarship of $600 and $500 each for Susan Berget-White and Paul Reichert for Entrepreneurial Operating System Leadership Training.

2020 Scholarship Winners:  Thanks to the Montana CARES Act, MEDA has received special funding for Professional Development needs.  Marie Hirsch, Scholarship Committee Chair, announced the following winners:  Debbie Schreiber, Snowy Mountain Development Corp., CDFA Training $1,200; Katharine King, City of Kalispell, Project Manager Training, $739; Teresa Schreiner, Great Falls Development Authority, UNC Basic Economic Development, $680; and Tracy McIntyre, Montana Cooperative Development Center, Building Blocks course, $1200.   Additional winners:  Tyler Menzales, GFDA, $800.; Davey Madison, MCDC, $700.
