A recently awarded UM grant will help create a new center for developing businesses in rural areas of Montana.
This new center, called the University of Montana Center for Rural Economic Development (UMCRED) will work toward the same goals as Accelerate Montana, a group that helps businesses and entrepreneurs. The $730,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration will allow the group to reach more rural areas.
